SPAIN IN EURO FINAL!

Spain knocked out Portugal 4-2 on penalties last night after an absolute bore of a match. Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas just about scored the winning penalty after it went in off the post. Cristiano Ronaldo didn't even get to take Portugal's fifth penalty, which is crazy for one of the world's best players! Somehow the dull game was watched by a record 18 million people in Spain. Zzzzzzzzz.

 Despite losing yet another game on penalties England boss Roy Hodgson says his players should be proud of themselves. "We've gone out but we've gone out without actually losing the game and I think we've gone out with our heads held high. I personally think the lads have done a fantastic job for their country and I also think that people have appreciated it." Never mind lads, it's only 4 years 'til the next Euros!

Thank heavens the footy is back after a football-free day yesterday! Portugal are hot favourites after their impressive 2-1 win against Holland. Cristiano Ronaldo looks like he's hitting form at just the right time after his brace against the Dutch. Tomas Rosicky returns tonight for the Czech's after injury. Harry Redknapp is looking for a new challenge after his shock exit from Tottenham. 'Arry is said to be keen on a quick return to football after failing to agree terms on a new deal at White Hart Lane. Meanwhile, several managers including David Moyes, Roberto Martinez and Fabio Capello have been linked with the Spurs gig.

HODGSON: WE CAN DO BETTER!

England battled their way to a 1-1 draw against France last night. Hodgson, who has only had three games in charge, thinks there's room for improvement. He said, "I am satisfied with those three games but you don't become a really good team in three matches and 10 training sessions." England face Sweden on Friday. Come on LADS!

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp wants his contract situation resolved sooner rather than later. The funny-looking gaffer only has 12 months left on his current deal and wants the club to sort it out.
